one of our recent installs of microstation SS3 is not loading up all the Task Menus - this is the second install, the first works perfectly but this installation seems to be having a number of problems I have been able to track down and fix them so far with the exception of this one involving the Task Menus - any thoughts as to why microstation isn't finding the dgnlib containing the menus?
Make sure your MS_GUIDGNLIBLIST is pointing to the location of GUI.dgnlib.

how do i check that I have never had to change the way that microstation points to the standard location in the C:\ProgramData\Bentley\MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries)\WorkSpace\System\GUI\ folder before - i do have custom files that are in a different location and I point to them out of my pcf file and these are being found "no problem" it is just the ones located in the standard location - and the launch is the same for this install as for the first one (which has no problems)
I believe it was with the introduction of Microstation SS3 Bentley changed the file the task menus are contained within. I had similar issues & others have reported the same problem. If you go to <Workspace <Configuration then in the Left Pane highlight All (Alphabetical) you can scroll through the pane on the right to MS_GUIDGNLIBLIST and see where it is pointing. I had to redirect mine sine I made custom task headers. Your search path can contain a wildcard (*.dgnlib) so it picks up all .dgnlib files in the location. You can either redirect the path or move all of your custom .dgnlibs to this location.
I can't say for sure this is your problem but it is worth looking into.
