V8i Geocoordinate Select Reference Keyin

Tying to automate the process somewhat for users.  I already know the file to select when sending this keyin

"geocoordinate select refrence" but can't get the syntax right that adds the filename;model to the keyin

  • are you trying to just attach a reference file and make sure its geo coordinated?

Can you explain the work flow you want to achieve .. we dont all use the same terminology  .. what reference? or do you mean select a library datum?

if its just attach ref look at the help file it uses a bunch of commas to work out if you want a model etc...

  • Lorys, hi!

Just came across this unanswered thread.

I am trying to do this:

    GEOCOORDINATE SELECT FILE pw:\\aecom-na-pw.bentley.com:AECOM_DS16_NA\Documents\........etcetc....filewith appropriteNAD27MTM10coordinates.dgn

    in the command line

ultimately i need to take this to batch and get all our civil files to be assigned with the cooridnate system

now, no attachment is required, as file geometry is already sits in the correct position in relation to the GO, all i need is to tell to system that this GO is indeed 0,0,0 in NAD27MTM10, so my file will be referable through geo- reference option to my station files.

Long story short, the only missing art- how can I "copy out" this file from PW so it will be available for reference with this command line?
