I have been trying to do the live chat and I've tried it through Firefox and Chrome and it just never comes up correctly so I'm posting this here hoping someone get's back to me quickly.
We have files that were done with resolution units of 1000/m while the entity we are working for says to use 1000/survey feet. Our cadd manager says this will cause large problems when referencing. I have tested it with 3 files with different resolutions and the files come in where they belong. Need confirmation as to whether this will be an issue.
This is the default resolution setting in MicroStation delivered seed files. The resolution setting should not be changed just to match the working units in the DGN file, this is a common misunderstanding. See the link to the follow blog regarding US Survey Foot vs. International foot.

The problem you might run into occurs when receiving files from an outside source where the resolution setting has been changed from 1000/m to something else. This may be what you cadd manager is referring to when they mention causing large problems with referencing.
