Trying to change the text size of a dimension for example:
1) Open the tool Change Dimension.
2) Open dimension styles.
3) Click the black padlock so the height and the width are the same. This is off by default. Can the default be changed to on?
Recording a macro and clicking the lock didn't pick up anything useful. Also I don't see anything to do with the lock in the VBA object browser.

I created standard text styles for all the standard drafting text heights and I set the text height and width to be equal and saved these in TEXTdgnlib
My dim styles also live in there too
So when ever we want to place a dim (or Text) we use a standard text style from the lib and the dim settings use that to control size of arrows, leaders etc..
so it doesn't matter if locked or unlocked as I defined the styles for text with set various text heights of equal widths and fonts already ie
Arial Narrow 1.8 , 2.5, 3.5, 5, 7 and 10 all equal height and widths mm ( also annotation scale set too)
I even have back ground filled version with colour BG turned on for wipe out or masking under the text..
This way is a great time saver and also standardised for all office users so consistent look to all plans...
