I would suggest having a read through the following Wiki which may assist with troubleshooting any problem you are encountering.

http://communities.bentley.com/products/microstation/w/microstation__wiki/13543.troubleshooting-graphics-display-issues

If you are a little confused with the versions of driver on your system this Wiki may assist but you might also like to contact the manufacturer or your company's IT professional.

The following Nvidia driver download page should provide you with a reasonably easy method of locating the correct, latest driver for your Quadro K600 graphics card. This should also show the extra information you require regarding the version numbers etc.

http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

I hope this information is of assistance.

RE: Random Elements Become Unselectable

We do have Geopak installed on some users' machines, but not all. Everyone would be using the same version of MS regardless though. I believe all of the graphics cards are the same (same model computers for everyone). NVIDIA Quadro K600 with driver version 9.18.13.3182. I went to NVIDIA's website and they have driver versions with a number like 265.70. Since I don't know much about this side of things, I'm lost. Should I use the 265.70 driver?

Thanks for the help.

RE: Random Elements Become Unselectable

The next time it happens in a file, I can post it for review. Since it happens periodically with different files, I can't say for sure which one it has happened in.
I have a question about the build you use. The last officialy released version of MicroStation is 08.11.09.459. The build 08.11.09.578 you mentioned was not released as an official build, but only as a prerequisite for a chosen applications (Descartes and civil products). Does it mean you use MicroStation with such application?

My another question is about your graphic card and driver. What card do you use and did you upgrade the driver recently?

With regards,

I can't see any correlation between the files. Your Active Depth may be different than your View Depth so essentially when you are moving an element the data point is actually a Z coordinate higher than what you can see. When you zoom extents you can then see the element. You may be able to select it using Power Selector and crossing mode rather than being able to actually just click on it to select it. That's because your cursor is at a different elevation. If you do not need to be in 3d export the file to 2d and that should fix your problem. Otherwise you need to become familiar with changing Z depths and view depths. There may also be front and back clipping planes affecting this. Can you give more detail about the file?
