CTRL-B was checked but non of the attributes was the problem. Tried also different display styles (i.e. dwg-wireframe or wireframe) but this was of no consequence. I'll follow the path of the display drivers.

one more thing to check may not be the problem but good work flow... view attributes ( Control B ) turn off construction ..

The graphic card in my coworkers PC = Nivdia Geforge GTX260 with driver 340.52. I'll look in the issues of directX and probably try some older driver versions to see if I can solve the problem. Thanks for yours input.

there has been a number of reports of issues with Nvidia Graphics cards.
Could you check which version of the graphics card driver you have installed?

Hi Jean,

what graphics card do you use? If Nvidia, it's probably the issue cased by graphics driver. Search this web for keywords like nvidia driver display or similar and you will find a couple of recent discussion about pretty the same problems (e.g. this one). Especially in the case of Nvidia a rule "the latest version is preferred" is not always correct.

There is also an article how to solve display problems in MicroStation wiki.

It would be helpful to always provide more information about your configuration and also if the problem appeared recently (which means something has to change) or it's long term issue.
