I have a DGN containing 10 Sheet Models and I would like to save the file so that each model is extracted to it's own DGN with all references merged
How can I do this?

So not export but to merge. No one design file but 80. What other facts, conditions or requirements have you not told us?
Without true exact information nobody can provide you correct asnwer :-(

Your suggestion is exactly the way I don't want to do it as I don't have the time for that. I'll have to find a way with VBA then
