I know the Element Select toolbox changes to accomodate whichever tool currently is in use, so please don't get confused. But, occassionally, the toolbox disappears. No matter what tool I choose, the box does not come back.
This requires me to shut down Microstation and launch it again to get it back.
Is there a key-in command or some other way to recover this tool box without having to re-launch Microstation?
Hi,

I guess you mean not Element Selection toolbox, but Tool settings dialog. It displays parameters and settings of an active tool.

If PopSet is enabled, the disapper is not accidental, but by an intention. If PopSet is off, the dialog should not disappear.

The key-in is dialog toolsettings and by default is assigned to F9.

or you could use the pull down menu Settings> Tool Settings
If ticked untick and then launch the selection tool should now bring back any tool setting window missing..
happens to me when I minimise or drag off the screen any tool box dialog... but this always brings it back and after running if you go back to settings> Tools settings is reticked by it self..
well it does on my system if I have the pop set always enabled ie green...
BTW I remapped all my F keys to my favourite functions and long scripts, vbas and macros that I use daily and didn't want to use up one for such an easy fix as the pull down....
