Linestyle with fill between two lines

I would like some ideas on how to create a linestyle containing two lines in the color red, with fill in the color blue.  This will be used in a mapping environment to create the roads.  I do have it in ArcGIS but unable to create in MicroStation.  Any suggestions?

  • Hi Max,

I came up with a simple method to "fake" multi-color linestyles using Display Styles and self-referencing.

Here's a short video that explains exactly how to do it.

    Cheers,

    Example dgn from video:

  • Great idea Ron!
I would not have thought of that option. FYI there is a setting in the User Preferences (Workspace > Preferences > Reference > Allow Editing of Self Referencing) that might be useful to the individual users also.
    Thanks for sharing that idea!
You should also be able to get the same type of effect using level Override (Weight & color) for the levels of self referenced files instead of Display Styles. Just another option.
