Hello,
Is there some method other than pdf whereby I can give a 3D model to somebody without them having to install a viewer ?
I have made a model for an architect and assured him he would be able to examine it in a 3D pdf.
Unfortunately the 3D pdf is really attrocious. Mainly the colours are all wrong and curved solids have become faceted.
The sad thing is that a 2D version made with the same driver looks great (no faceting)
Can the accuracy of a pdf be altered (especially wrt curves) ?
Thanks
If your giving it to as you said an architect then I would hardly call them non technical... but in any case just export to DWG autocad most Architects use autocad or archicad which can import autocad DWG... and it will stay 3d so problem solved yeah?
Alternatley ask them what package they use for drawings and ask what formats they have available in the import options then see what you can match in export from microstation then export to the common format and your done...
