Change Raster view display breaks command

It's strange and not comfortable when drawing  shapes , smartlines ....

When you draw - if you want change view level display it not breaks command

same when you change display in references,

but if you want to change display in raster manager ( to turn off raster in view )  the command breaks your drawing

Is this a bug and can be changed  or the raster manager have other rules than others ?

  • Hello Martine :

There are some commands which can run in multiple State (mode) e.g. Start a Place Line String command without exiting the current state, change the symbology (color, weight) and you can immediately see the changes reflected. Reference on/off runs in multi-state mode, were as Raster on/off through the dialog, by design exits the current state and hence the Place Line String command terminates. You could try these key-ins “raster display on, raster display off” to turn off raster. Add these as Function key shortcuts for easy access.

    Leonard Jones.
