We use a setup at my office where on our sheets we reference a border file and a live nested master file. I want to be able to keep the setting in the sheets files linked to the master file. For example:
We have 10 sheets all referencing the master file with all of our design and content. If I change a level override in the master file I then have to go into all 10 sheets to make the same level override.
Is there a key-in or a config variable or reference setting to have the change in the referenced file show up in the file where it is referenced?
Good question I would like to know more about this myself. I have a similar issue. Mine is more related to nested reference files, and separate control over them but I would like to know the answer to this question too.

take a look at the ref manager dialog box and see the bottom section has allow over rides make sure it has "always " in the nested file and in your attachment file that the nested is attached to ... ie where you putting your sheets , title blocks etc.. then overides work at the sheet level and model level not just the parents or grand kids files..
