During testing I've created a new style and now wish to delete from the system.
I am also having a problem with the Cells being read from multiple files - there seems to be a never ending loop as to where these
symbol cells are being read from.
In the DetailingSymbolStyles.dgnlib the one I want to delete is greyed out as per attached
Where do I go to delete the unwanted style - this is a network company dataset
Hello,
Are you sure that the 'HHH' style comes from DetailingSymbolStyles.dgnlib? Try some of the other DGNLib files, it can only be deleted from the DGNLib it was created in. To see the other DGNLib files, while in the Detailing Symbol Styles dialog, go to the File menu and see if the other DGNLib files are listed, they can be selected from here and MicroStation will open the selected file directly. See image below showing an example of this....
Regards,
This is how i would do it...
The dgnlib file in question is being pathed so you cant change it whilst its in use
So close all uses of msntn and with explorer move the file out of the dgnlibs folder defined by the workspace config and into your c: \temp folder
make a duplicate and change the extension to old or orig so you dont loose it entirely and its as it was before you mucked with it
open mstn a new file and try to use dim with the dimstyle you will see if it came from the moved file it is not available...
You can now open the customise tools and open the actual dgnlib file and remove the offending style
now return the dgn lib to where it came from...
Restart mstn and all should be well
however you may not have access to the dgn lib due to IT or cad manger restrictions... then you'll need help from them to do this...
