&lt;p&gt;but in any case if you have a stand alone image &amp;nbsp;that &amp;nbsp;disappears on zoom in out &amp;nbsp;check out the steps I outlined... this may &amp;nbsp;help others &amp;nbsp;with non bing images..&lt;/p&gt;

In other words, you have zoomed beyond the lowest resolution available from the Bing Maps server.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;p&gt;stuff....&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;check the raster manager settings &amp;nbsp;for attached as &amp;nbsp; background , foreground and design plain..&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Also if your file is 3d &amp;nbsp;and the &amp;nbsp;image comes from 2d this &amp;nbsp;gave me similar issues with the zoom for me in the past..&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;try ref your mesh into a 2d blank file A and raster attach your &amp;nbsp;image to another 2d file &amp;nbsp;B then ref attach file B to A &amp;nbsp;does it still behave as before &amp;nbsp;with the &amp;nbsp;zoom &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
