I too have the need to capture screen recordings every now and then. However I do not feel it is Bentley who is responsible for providing screen recording software. Just as they do not provide screen snippet software or software to place comments on said screen grabs.
But I'd welcome such a tool if Bentley were to provide it though.
Also have a look at Wink. It is a tool that lets you record interactive tutorials with sequential screen images of a user determined area, you can add Next-Previous buttons, and comments. It is not a video screen recorder. It exports as executable. Edit: and it's free

Windows 10 has a screen recorder built-in as part of the XBox game bar

Windows 11 moved this to the snipping tool

If those tools have been blocked (more understandably for the first one) you can also screen record from PowerPoint in the Office suite. Last time I sent a video to Bentley I used this method. If my memory was correct recording was pretty easy but exporting the video out to a file was a mild pain.
Record your screen in PowerPoint - Microsoft Support
then make your own custom icon , tool etc that runs Win +Alt +R and for screen shots its just the same for all windows compatible pc software to run snippy Win +Shf +S

I'm not familiar enough with MS to do that, as I am an AutoCAD user really, where such a feature is available, hence my question. Not to worry.
when I was trying to learn new microstation stuff I did two things ( also in acad) I keep a scrap book yes paper, and write or past stuff on how to in there, and if it a simple key in I put it on a paste it note at the edge of my monitor to help my memory
Hi Lorys, Yes I do similar, although digitally. I have an Excel spreadsheet of handy stuff.
I dont know how with std keyboard and mouse you can issue a win key command without the key and use a command instead and use that command in a custom ribbon.. but we memorise windows commands for other stuff like win E for explorer so win G isnt much of a stretch to master and they are loads of win dows key commands that work every where....
