Normally when my raster files displayed red it was due to the file path that was not accessible. Now when I try to attach ECW files it instantly displays these files in red. The file path to the ECW were long so I saved them onto my desktop

RE: ECW Raster Images Display Red

Hi Pascal,
I managed to get the ECW attached after restarting my computer. I cant remember what the status Column displayed. Should this happen again i will take note of the status column.
The ECW were sent to us as individual ECW files. They were not attached in any CAD program.
We are currently operatin Bentley PowerCivil for South Africa SS3 (version 08.11.09.722)

Should this occur in future, I'll send you the message if this is ok?

Can you tell me the text displayed in raster Manager's "Status" column.

Also, do you know what version of MicroStation/Bentley product these ECW rasters were attached in.

And, finally, what version of MicroStation/Bentley product you are currently using to open the DGN that references the ECW raster attachments.

It could be that the ECW files that are attached are not supported by the product you are opening them with. For example, the EAP versions of MicroStation CONNECT can attach ECW V1, V2 and V3. But, MicroStation V8i versions can only read ECW V1 and V2.

Current drawing is *.dgn file. I restarted my PC and re-attached the *.ecw files and they seem to be working now.
Thanks for the link, good to have it for future reference.

RE: ECW Raster Images Display Red

Hello,
can you specify the exact version of Microstation you are using: 08.XX.XX.XXX?
Are the files your DWG or DGN?
If you are using a DWG file, please take a look at the following article:
