MicroStation v8i oracle client 12

Question

Does MicroStation V8i supports an oracle 12 client. 
 Bentley Map Select Series 4 supports the oracle 12 client. 
 Bentley Map SS4 requires MicroStation 08.11.09.714 
 So MicroStation 08.11.09.714 is, i think, the right version. 
 But there is no separate download of this MIcroStation-version. 
 
 Of course the alternative is an oracle-11-client 
 
 Questions, 
 Indeed do I really need this version? 
 Why can't I download this version?

 The latest commercial release of MicroStation is v08.11.09.459. It is the latest version that was put through a comprehensive process that we have in place to determine product readiness. Since then, we have continued to build MicroStation on a regular basis -- sometimes including fixes for very, very specific issues that have either been reported by users or by our own internal product teams (since we have hundreds of products in multiple languages, the need for a defect being fixed can happen). These subsequent builds are not put through the same comprehensive process that the commercial releases are -- it is simply impractical to do, as we are constantly building the product. In some instances -- particularly in the case of a dependency with another Bentley product -- these builds go through regression testing, where the main focus of testing is in the "other Bentley product". That is the case here and is why we do not have that specific version of MicroStation available as a separate download. There could be a more current version of MicroStation V8i that becomes available, but I am not aware of any specific plans for that. Of course, that could very well change -- it is pretty difficult to predict the future :). 
 Yes, we realize this can be confusing. And we do need to get better at this -- it is something that we are taking a very hard look at (most likely "solved" by going to more frequent updates with products like MicroStation), but as of this writing, the latest commercial release of MicroStation is v08.11.09.459.
