When trying the MetroStation examples, the video player opens, but there is no content. I see the video files in "C:\ProgramData\Bentley\CONNECT Edition\Configuration\WorkSpaces\Example\WorkSets\MetroStation\Standards\Videos\".
_MSTN_WORKSPACESROOT is defined to be "C:\ProgramData\Bentley\CONNECT Edition\Configuration\WorkSpaces\".
Could this be a security issue with Windows 7 ?

Possibly, but that could be site-specific. The ProgramData folder is intended to be accessible by Windows users, in contrast to the Program Files and Program Files(x86) folders, which are secured for write access for Windows users.
If you navigate to folder C:\ProgramData\Bentley\CONNECT Edition\Configuration\WorkSpaces\Example\WorkSets\MetroStation\Standards\Videos\ using Windows Explorer and double-click a movie file, does the movie play? If not, then it's a Windows issue and not a MicroStation problem.
