I have been looking for a tool that microstation has to label arc/curve data (length, radius, delta, tangent) but have yet to find anything. A lot of folks point to infosnap which is fine. My question is does MICROSTATION have a tool that will label arcs or curves, if so, what is it? I have create workarounds to get this information but it would be nice to have 1 tool that could do it in one process. I mean there is Label Line why can't there be "Label Acr/Curve" ?
Thank you
Inroads and or civil extensions has this but not native mstn..
This vba macro has been floating around the internet for a while but it depends where you live, metric or imperial you will need to edit it for units and Degree of curvature
I also have a pdf I made that explains all the annotations and mathematics to get all the information manually just in case...screen shot here shown
when you run it data point on curve then data point in dgn plane and it annotates like below...works best in arial font so you get the degree symbol
The pdf may be easier to read the equations and labelling.. to test it make a curve the same radius I have used and then do the manual calcs and see what the macro registers .. make a duplicate and then edit the formulas to suit your zone... make sure you add some comments so you can share it for both north and south hemispheres of metric and imperial users ....
or dont use the macro and use my equations here to do it in excel just enter radius and arc angle which dim tools gives you or maybe properties will give the angle too...then copy paste the answer into mstn text paste special etc...
FYI if your using connect edition then it may not run..
Finding the Macro, researching the equations and geometry , drawing up the diagram took me quite a few nights and was very useful for me so some feed back and appreciation would be nice....
Sorry vba was missing from zip now updated

Hi Lorys,
Love the macro! I tried the metric version in V8i SS10 and it still works great! Do you happen to have the Imperial version available? It would very useful for a project I am currently working. Thanks again!
