I found myself repeatedly saving fences for Plot and Clip, so of course decided to create a function key or button to do the save/recall. However, I can't seem to find any keyins, nor does the VBA macro recorder collect anything for Create Named Fence From Active Fence.
Is there a way outside the expanded Place Fence tool settings?
Thanks,
Dean
Dean ..
I prefer to draw a closed element and put it on level called clipboundary X yz and have it set to non plotting so in prints and pdfs you can see it
and you can turn it off without losing the clip ref... its a bit old school from when we had limited fence clips but it works great and seems to be quicker when used multiple clips and you can move it and the clip ref moves with it.. and modify add remove vertices works great and respects he clipping and updates the clipping...
I only use the named fence when client standard wont allow me to created extra named levels for the clip element...

Hello,
Please be aware that you can also use 'Save As' or 'Export'.
In the options of the Save As/Export Dialog Box
Select Geometry>Fence
Fence Mode>Inside
Your fence will then be saved as a DGN.
