Hi,
I'm using Microstation V8i SS2. The CAD files I'm working on have raster files, which are attached to a separate dgn, rerenced into the model (where they display fine) and then referenced into the sheet where they won't display. I have compared settings and toggles for both the model & sheet with a drawing in which the raster does display in the sheet, but can't see any differences in the settings between the two drawings and was hoping someone would be able to help me out.
I followed the instructions in this thread in which a few things were suggested that could be attempted, like finding the memory cache file, but none of these have helped.
The raster manager isn't suggesting the link to the files is broken.
I would really appreciate help on this please, it has me well & truly stumped!
how big are your files including the raster?
perhaps if you remove sensitive information you could upload them here or google doc etc..
if too big can you make a make a small raster and attach it to the same file the big raster is and send me/ us the model and sheet file and the ref file and the extra raster .. not the big one and we can have a look how its all set up etc ...
Its difficult to help you without seeing your settings and checking the files with you.. but here are some things I would look at if you sent me the files....
Are you using world coincedent, geocordiantes and refs with datums etc ?
Is your sheet at 0,0 ? is it scaled up to filt the world or scaled down to paper size so your refs have to be scaled down and moved? if you scaled it it might be so small and so far away you may not see it? what happen if attached 1:1 can you see it?
When you add the small additional raster in the middle of the reluctant raster does it appear in the sheet model?
did you clip ref the raster holding file in the sheet view?
try delete clip ref and fit view reference in the sheet view..
In my experience the dgn used to hold the raster ref needs to be attached with nesting level on try at least depth 2, I also like to place a bounding polygon on a non print level as it can can help to locate the raster in model - fit view all...
When you attached the raster in the holding dgn what level did you place it on ( ie the active level at the time)
Maybe in your ref file attached model that level is turned off in the sheet view ref attached level ?
did you try making a new raster holding file and reattach the raster and see if that file works the way it should in your sheet.. do you also try a different file to attach the raster holding ref and see if its was infact file specific to your model / sheet file... ( last thing I try )...
