MICROSTATION-TURN-OFF LEVEL

Hello,

I am using Microstation V8i SS2.

I am having to turn-off levels in a file that references other files.  My work flow is to identify which reference file contains the level by turning off the reference, then use the element information dialog to tell me which level is the one to turn off, then I use the level display dialog to locate the level and select to turn-off the level.  Is there a more efficient way to turn off a level without having to search for the file, the level, then find the level in level display, to turn it off ?

  • If you right-click and hold, you will get a context menu. On that menu is an option for "Level Off". Select that and then select the linework you want turned off. This will turn off the level in the appropriate reference. Be careful with the graphic group lock though. Turning off a level associated with a graphic group (while graphic group lock is on) will turn off the entire group.
