Hello,
I am using Microstation V8i SS2.
I am doing some edits to a figure that has several attached reference files. If I want to search for a certain key word, is it possible to search the file for the key word and what reference file it is in?

If you using SS3 and dgn index is installed you can use windows explorer to search and list all network drgs without microstation opening and closing files
in windows explorer you use the find with
content THE TEXT YOU WANT *.dgn.
this will produce a list now you can then open the dgns via explorer to launch in microstation and make your edits as previous poster mentioned using find replace however I would use the batch processor to find replace because once you know which files to add via the widows search into the batch processor file browse ... ( the batch processor script has been done in this forum recently http://communities.bentley.com/products/microstation/f/273/p/83776/234709#234709
here is link to a video with sound I prepared earlier on how to do find text in ALL dgns with windows explorer find
