I recommend setting up different styles for what you need, and also keeping those in a DGNLIB so all users can share them.

Otherwise, pop open the key-in browser, type Dimension, and you'll see a long list of keyins to change settings, such as "dimension terminator left off" or "dimension text box on."

None of that is easier than taking the time to setup what you need, then just picking the style from the list.

Not all options in a tools dialog box have key-ins to define each selection. The best way of figuring out what is required to make a selection for each item in the Place Label dialog would be to record a macro. Each selection made in the tool is recorded and will show whether it has a specific key-in or requires VB code to perform the operation.

Have you looked also at the "SET ITEM TOOLSETTINGS ..." key-ins. The command has various options depending on previously altered command like "place label".

As you can see in attached screenshot the right column is empty when I use "set item toolsettings" for the place label tool....

And I have a fault message in the message center.

Do you have another result for the place label tool in Microstation Connect?
