I have an image attached to a design model. The design model is attached to a sheet model.
in the design model, I can turn the image off and on by any view.
However, as referenced into the sheet model, I am unable to turn it back on. It is turned on in views 2-8 but will not turn on in view 1. I can toggle the button, but it does nothing. If I exit the dialog box and later return to the file in the dialog box, the button is back to being turned off.
I tried opening view 2 and tried using copy view to copy all of the view setting back into view 1, but except for the raster toggle, every other settings seemed to copy.
There is a second group of images attached to another reference file and these allow me to toggle the view buttons for any or all of them and the images turn off and on when I do this.
For some reason, it allowed me to turn off and on the view buttons for one reference file's raster images, but not the other. I finally opened the offending reference file, turned it on in that file, saved settings and when I returned to the sheet model in the other file, I was now able to turn it off or on. My guess, is that while you can turn off and back on such a setting in a reference file, it will not let you turn it on if it is not already on in the actual file.

Same thing is happening to me right now and I cannot fix it. So ridiculous.
it seems like its acting like a nested file and before sheet models we never noticed because it had no effect...
My colleague suggested detach and then undo .. says it worked for him .. but that is anecdotal information at this time...as I cannot test this.. but worth a try.

I ended up just creating a new dgn file just to attach my image in and then referenced that dgn into an existing container file that was already attached to my final sheet model. Now it works. I basically gave up trying to figure out what the problem is (in the original file that the raster was in) and just put the raster in a new place.
