I'm trying to use "Select by Attributes" as with V8i. I'm trying to select text with some special string input in all Levels with the MS Connect Edition 10.00.00.25
But if I'm clicking through the "Select by attributes GUI" I can not input some string in the string input field. Why?
as a workaround you can use a little vba
Sub selectbytext() SetCExpressionValue "selectorGlobals.textstring", "puttexthere", "SELECTBY"End Sub
but I hope that this is already fixed. It would be very worse if not.

Not sure why you might be responding to a post from two years ago. The original was actually from four years ago. Defect # 263179 is approved for a future release of MicroStation CONNECT Edition.

THX.I eagerly await this fix from a defect from 4 years ago.
Some of us think there is a sense of "which future release", so just like to "bump" issues occassionally, as we roll back over them.

Opinions expressed are my own and not necessarily those of my employer
after four years I'm an AutoCAD user now, and even if I thought I should influence my company to use Microstation, I'm getting more and more wiser not to do this. The Bentley company is kidding all users, mainly the old experts, you knows what a good application Microstation was light years ago.

Have you guys check if U14 will have this resolved?
It appears Defect # 263179 has been approved by our development team and the target release is Update 15.
