Hi,
it seems if a reference file has defined own presentation (display style), it's ignored in MicroStation CONNECT Edition.
I created simple test case, where a slab is in active model (work3d.dgn) and it's shaded and a sphere is referenced from another file (work3d B.dgn) and the reference is attached with wireframe display style set.
This is how it's displayed in V8i (SELECTseries 3) Update 2...
... and the same files in CONNECT Edition.
Or it's because some default setting has changed in CONNECT Edition?
The used files are attached.
With regards,
Jan

I know this discussion is over 6 years old, but what is the status of this defect?
In MicroStation CE U16.2, the test case is still displayed incorrectly.

This defect is still present, I have update 15, 10.15.00.74.
I found in this discussion information it was classified as WAD.
I disagree with that, because it works in the different way than V8i, and also makes display style hierarchy element > reference > active model > view illogical in my opinion, but the expressed disagreement is probably the only thing I can do :-(
I do not recall any graph, how different settings on different levels are evaluated to decide, what style is used to display what element.
Please not in the other thread Jan refers to it mentions
'Defect 773405:[PP Dependency] [ABD CE]Reference presentation is overriden by Display style of view'
This defect has been replaced by Bug 657562, which in-turn is currently being reviewed and targeted for the next release.
