Stacked Fractions When Linking From Excel Spreadsheet

I am wondering how, if it's possible, to link text from an Excel spreadsheet and have fractions display diagonally stacked. For example, if I link a cell with the value 5 3/4" it will display as 5¾" after copying the cells and going Edit->Paste Special->Linked Text To Design File.

Thanks for any help.

  • I would think that it you are linking directly to data inside an Excel spreadsheet that it would display the same as what is in that file. That is, if you have defined the text display in Excel to have stacked fractions then that is how it would display inside MicroStation. This type of element is only classed as a link to the external data in the file and is not specifically "text" as such. Therefore, you would not able to modify the text attributes to make it different to what it is originally.
