[MS V8i SS3] Setting View Scale

Question

I am looking for a way to set the zoom level in a view to a specific scale, say 1" = 20'. Is there a way to do this in MicroStation? There is a way to accomplish this in other products like ArcGIS, for instance.

I agree with David - you would have to know the exact size of the current view you have open in the design file and then use this with the needed scale you want. You could also do a save settings to hold that view orientation, you could also create a saved view and use it. Once you have these, as David mentions, you could pan to move around in the file.
