Hi all
I'm new at supporting Microstation, long story short....
I need to explode a reference file so it become part of the DNG it was insert.
I try the Drop command but was not successful.
Any idea or workflow will be welcome.
Cheers,
Erik M.

Hi Luc, please try the Merge Into Master command. Rightclick on the reference file in the References dialog box and select Merge Into Master or go to Tools (in the same References dialog box) and select this function. Hope that helps, Andrea

another trick is to turn off all levels in the active file first , then use a fence or a selection and copy all the elements in the reference attachment into the active file, then turn off the reference display, I like this approach as you always know where the data came from.
NB Both the copy method and the merge method will only copy/ merge elements that the levels were turned on or displayed in the reference file, this is great because this way you can choose exactly what you want to bring across and what not to bring across... also good method to fix files that have unstable elements, use them as reference file in clean empty new files and copy all into the active and only good data comes across.... well most of the time nothing is ever perfect...
