When dropping an instance of a parametric cell the graphics move from the current level they are on to level Default.
David, Yes they were create on Default however the reason you create them on Default is so they get placed on the active level. Both conventional cells and shared cells that are place in this manner retain their placement level status when dropped. They do not revert back to Default. Additionally when I drop them in SS3 they maintain their placement level. I would expect this consistent (and logical) behavior to be extended parametric cells as well.

So why did they design its to maintain its level when dropped in 3D but not in 2D?
Edit: Disregard. Seems this behavior has changed in CE-u1. 3D now also goes to default. However in SS4 they go to their designated level
