I think I want to change or add shortcuts to the accudraw menu but I want to make a copy of the file they are kept in. Where might I find that file
In VI it used to be in C:\Users\HOME\AppData\Local\Bentley\MicroStation\8.xx\o_Dof88niaENmS1PChQ4Mg\shortcuts.txt
Hi Kirk,
In MicroStation V8i, AcuDraw shortucts file location is defined by MS_ACCUDRAWKEYS configuration variable, so you can use key-in expand echo $(MS_ACCUDRAWKEYS) to display the variable value in Message Center and to navigate to a proper folder.
In MicroStation CONNECT Edition there are no AccuDraw shortcuts but Keyboard shortcuts, which can be displayed again using ? when AccuDraw is active. I am not sure, but I guess the main "set" is hardcoded. If you change the definition, it's overwritten by xml file defined by MS_KEYBOARDSHORTCUTS variable. You can use key-in expand echo $(MS_KEYBOARDSHORTCUTS) to find the folder, it's in your Windows profile. Be aware there no Personal.KeyboardShortcuts.xml file exists there until you will change the default configuration. See "Configuring Keyboard Shortcuts in an XML File" chapter in MicroStation help for more information.
With regards,
Jan
