CE - Properties General - Mouse Behaviour

Your screen shot doesn't appear to be from CE.  I have no problem selecting the field and changing using click and drag in the CE properties dialog.

Yes, but the row is tight, users prefer double click rather than click and drag to select the text.

Where do you think this "selection feature" would be available to modify the capability?
Would it be a Workspace Preference, a configuration variable or capability?

To think it radically, It is actually an argument on should the increase value by double click behavior to be applied on General tab of the Properties as they are usually numeric based but not options based. It is commonly not a wise choice to change line weight from a large distance (e.g. from 0 to 5). I suggest that there would be an new setting which could be set at in File -> Settings -> Preferences -> Input to Enable/Disable/Combine this "new" feature for Properties using behavior or just correct it back as the same as Microstation V8i in case developers programmed it mistakenly.

To change the value(numeric) of Line Style/Weight, user would point to the value and double click it, and then the value(numeric) would be automatically highlighted, after that type the numeric value from the keyboard.

This changed is needed because this traditional method requires less searching time. The click-drag method requires user to watch at the monitor carefully, ensuring that you are clicking on the last right position of the value, and then drag the pointer slowly in a true horizontal direction from right to left to highlight the value. Otherwise, the pointer would alarm you with a "STOP" icon.

Enable the highlighting by double-click method, it no longer requires a eye-locking on if the value(numeric) is correctly highlighted without "STOP" icon and allow user to pay attention on the other important part. Without this change, user currently has to waste more time on such simple modification of the drawings.

Comparison: an increasing value is just to follow the next options, highlighting-edit method allow users to go to whatever options they want without a search process.

Jose, do you mind sharing why you double-click at Line Style and Weight at Microstation CE? In Microstation V8i it won't work. What is your preferred response in Line Style and Weight ?

If double click is the new way to work here I don't mind, but what I really want and need is the program to work in the more consistency possible.

I want level attributes to be able to put -1 to get the "ByLevel" not work in Line Style and Weight - different than v8i.
Still works in Color.

In Line Style and Weight - double click moves up only if these two are any value different than "ByLevel" and Style only works in the first 8 types, not on the custom ones.

Why Color doesn't work the same away? Independently if we are working with table, true or pantones.

Note: I still haven't got any answer why we have less pantones than v8i...
