Connect - Replace cell loses active level.

Seems like I posted this before but couldn't find it so forgive me if I already logged this.

When doing a global replace of a shared conventional cell using the active cell the cells loose their active level status and revert to level default.

Both cells, existing and replacement were created on level default and therefore placed on the active level.

Corrections.  These are conventional cells not shared cells.  Share cells retain their level  Conventional ones do not.

  • I had a quick look through your previous posts and a lot of them seem to be related to issues in MicroStation CONNECT with Parametric Cells. Is this particular issue also related to parametric cells or plain cells. Maybe you could provide an example design file along with a workflow of the tools being used. We can then try to replicate what you are reporting.

  • Hey Andrew, Do you know if there's been any solution to this?  Microstation Connect no longer has the Relative Levels option in the Replace Cells Dialog.  I'm trying to replace Point cells, and they're going to active level, instead of the level the original cells were on.  My workaround is to Open the file in OpenCities Map Advanced, which still has the Relative Levels option in the Replace Cells tool.

    Thanks,

    Jason
