I've experienced random crashes running CE in both Win7 and Win10 where it simply tells me that it's shutting down and doesn't log any sort of error logs to what caused the crash. I've brought it up with tech support and they have not been able to resolve it. I would guess the issues your having are not OS specific. Hoping the first big update for CE will correct some of these random crashes though. <crosses fingers>

Have you checked the Event viewer from the computer. Some times events like that might leave an error message there

There may be times when its not really crashing. Just really slow. Spinning wheel Windows says not responding. Few minutes later it starts working again. Tables and cells libs in particular, but I've seen it a lot of place.

David, there is an issue when defining the MS_CELLLIST variable, causes massive slowdown when opening/selecting cells and when switching files... this was filed as a defect back in October, but was not fixed in update 1. It is a MAJOR bug
Other than that though, it constantly crashes for me. usually when activating references, or when attaching reference files, or when switching files. Usually I don't even get a crash report, or error. It just disappears from my screen completely

Interesting about the MS_CELLLIST variable where do you keep your cells located? We used to keep ours on one of our file servers but it made working offsite a pain as windows has not played well with syncing files for offsite use in 10+ years. In CE we just adopted keeping all of our cell libraries on local machines and not had any issues with crashes from that variable (that I've noticed). The cell libraries are still stored on the server we just copy the data to individual machines every morning it takes about an extra 15 seconds to log in but working offsite is a breeze now.
