Hi all
I am currently using MS V8i SS3 Ver 08.11.09.459.
I have 2 models in my DNG file, Model1 and Model2.
I have created a saved view in M1 called Saved View 1.
While in Model2 i reference in the Saved View 1 from Model1.
My question is where is Saved View 1 actually saved, is it saved in Model2 in a layer? or is it saved in computer?
Does that make sense?
Thank for your input.
José
As Jose said: The Saved views are stored in the Model they were created in. They are available in all models within the actual dgn file. Open the Saved View dialog and Rt. Click on the Sorting Bar (turn On "Model" if not already on) and It will display the Model it is in. When selecting the Saved View, Watch your options! One of the options (Model if on) will actually change the view you select to the Model it was created in. You can possibly have each of your open views (8 possible) displaying (actually In) different models.
Pay attention to the View Header. It will tell you which Model that view is in (View #, the Saved View Name, the Model (and more)) . It can get a bit confusing if not careful!
I Hope This Helps Someone Reading This! (Intergraph>PseudoStation>MicroStation user since 1980's)

No!
A Saved View is stored in your DGN file. If it were 'just in memory' it would not be saved. It's not clear why you're conflating Saved Views and levels (if you're using the AutoCAD term layer to mean a MicroStation level).
Try to put your question a different way. Tell us what you're attempting to achieve. Don't confuse us by introducing quasi-technical terminology.
