Associating Title Block With A 2D Sheet Model

Hi all

I was wondering if there was any way of associating my title block with a 2D sheet model so that if I change my paper size my title block scales to the new paper size.

I have 2 dgn files.

DGN File 1 contains 2 models which are my 3D design model and my 2D sheet model.

DGN File 2 contains 1 model which is a 2D design model containing my Title Block.

I almost always print in ISO A03 size, so i have created a title block with ISO A03 dimensions.

I normally scale my design model from DGN File 1 down to fit my paper size.

Recently I have been asked to produce paper drawings on ISO A02 & A04.

Rather than create new title blocks for each paper size is there anyway of associating my title block with the sheet model so that when i change from A03 to A02 for example my title block automatically scales up (or down).

Hope this makes sense.

Thanks for your help.

  • If you create a sheet  model you can  specify the paper size then ref attach your  title block  at  the scale factor to make it work

    a3 > A1 = 2:1

    297x420 > x2 = 594x840= A1

    a3 > A2 =Root2 x a3=1.141(297x420) =420x594=a2

scale x2 to get next size up

    A5

    A3

    A1

    2A

    Scale  up Xroot 2

    A4

    A2

    A0

but  your text must  be annotation scale to scale up..

I dont see how else to change this  for you  except if you change  the  sheet  model then match the scale  of the refs...
