Again, we are just getting into Microstation CE and trying to see what works and doesn't before we roll it out company wide. We opened a file that was started in MS SS3 that had a hatch pattern that we wanted to match and then create a new one. The hatch that we want to match is in the same model as the text and dimensions, all of which use Annotative Scaling. As soon as we start the Match Pattern Attributes and the select the pattern we want to match, the design model will switch from the Annotative Scale that was set (1/4" = 1'-0") to Full Size 1:1. The text and dimensions still look fine and I can switch the scaling back to where it was, but I'm not sure what this is doing to the file and why it is doing it in the first place. The only tool that does this (that we have noticed so far) is the match pattern attributes tool.
Any idea why this is happening?
Thanks,Ken
Was the pattern placed in V8i or MicroStation CONNECT Edition? Patterns and hatching placed in CONNECT now support annotation scale.

This might be a file a specific issue. Does this issue happen in more than one file?
If occurs in more than one file a sample file would be helpful.

True however the limited testing I did this was not backward compatible. The patterns displayed different in SS3.
Unknown said:From the looks of things, if the first hatch in the file was created in CE, then there is no problem using the match properties within CE.
Experience this in CE with patterns placed in CE.
