How to match pattern attributes ?

Hello,

I have created two pattern where symbologies of this two pattern are  named as  "A and B" such as an example.  now I want to change pattern symbology of A to B.

First, I selected match pattern feature from the menu and then click pattern B with activation   "match symbology box".   Then I activated "change pattern " with all options  is selected and clicked pattern A. But no changes is occured. How can I match two different pattern symbology into one symboogy using match pattern feature ?
