Display Rule Questions

I have two questions regarding display rules.

1) Is there a way to create a condition against all element types. i.e. text, dimension, circle, etc)

I only see a few like Line, Linestring, Mesh, and Shape.

2) I also see a wiki post that display rules aren't honored during an export to dwg. This I can understand since it is not supported in dwg.

However, Is there a way to change geometry while exporting to dwg honoring display rules. In other words, If I override an element from Color "0" and LS "0"

to Color "4" and dashed LS "2". When it is exported it is back to Color "0" and LS "0" or continuous. I want actual element to be Color 4 and dashed.

  • This is quite an old topic. I see there is a (more recent) Idea on the MS ideas portal, indicated as "planned": Convert Display Rules to DWG | MicroStation Ideas Portal (aha.io)

Now please can you clarify if this is indeed the intention for the entire "Display Style" to be converted to DWG? My specific use case is 2D representation of 3D elements. When looking at the 2D drawing with "Wireframe" display style they don't appear filled. When using the "Filled Visible Edges" it appears filled in the view in DGN file. But when exporting to DWG I guess the display style is discarded completely (since it's a display style, it's normal not to export this). But the result is that objects that look to be filled in DGN (when using 'Dynamic' visible edges calculation and a Filled Visible Edges display style) are exported as Polyline to DWG.
