I'm having trouble linking Excel to Microstation. I select what I need to copy to Microstation and then I paste special as "Linked text to Design File". When it comes in, the columns and rows are not lined up. I'm also doing this in ProjectWise so the only time the spreadsheet is linked is when I have the drawing open. When I close out and come back in, it is no longer linked.
Does anybody have any suggestions without using AXIOM? I've attached some pictures to show what I'm talking about.

Not quite all: FlexiTable™ provides another way to import and export Excel data.

This question is quite old, but I found a very simple solution to this in another thread, which someone might find useful when stumbling across this post.
The solution is to simply copy and pastespecial every column seperately. This might be a little bit tedious to do, especially for larger tables, but hey, you only have to do it once and then all the columns will be aligned by default, plus you can adjust the spacing easily.

MicroStation CONNECT provides Tables. Tables are versatile, and — in the context of this post — you can place a table using the data in an Excel workbook or a .csv file.
Ouh right, this is even more useful, thank you.
Especially after I just found out, that the link of the Linked Text seems to disappear upon saving and re-opening, making it just a normal text.
The link to the excel file remains with the Table tool, even after closing the file (at least in DGN files, for DWG, the link seems to get removed).
