V8i SS4 / Position mapping with french keyboard still not resolved ( 4 years opened ST ) !!

 ST Number : 8001475746 was open 4 years ago and we still cannot use position mapping on french keyboard !!

due to the  bug with the 1 or & key in position mapping:

I can't access any command (on a french keyboard) like 21 (é&) 31 ("&) 41 ('&) and so on..Others are working

Please could you do something or set up real effective keyboard shortcuts ?

This is crucial in term of productivity ( try Sketchup and compare the modeling speed !!)

    This worked om 08.11.09.292, but has been broken in SS3 update1 and remained broken ever since.
    The workaround is to not use the 1 (&) and instead click the first item in the list.
    If it's really a big deal for you you might consider rolling back to 292. That, of course, begs the question: what are you paying SELECT for?

    I'd suggest contacting your Account manager to try and get this issue elevated.
    It's annoying and apparently has something to do with parsing in update 1 and beyond.
    I don't know what the advantages of that change to parsing was, but the downside is pretty obvious to us. Unfornately Bentley uses QWERTY and thus most are oblivious to the issue.
