connect web browser in connect edition update 1

Hi,


in the Connect Edition update 1 is the same problem like in previous version of the Connect Edition. It´s the defect 340813.

    This defect was approved for the backlog so it will be fixed in a future release.

    You can check in this wiki article for Resolved Issues in  MicroStation CONNECT Edition update 1, 10.01.00.13 and as you can see it is NOT listed as resolved.

    This wiki article will be updated soon with the resolved issues for Update 2, once Update 2 is released.

    i have tested the defect 340813 with the connect web browser in update 2. Unfortunately the problem is still there. Now we have changed the OS from Windows 7 to Windows 10. The default web browser for connecting from MicroStation was changed from Internet Explorer (WIn7) to Google Chrome (Win10) automatically.


    Here some screenshots.

    The first screen, i want to import the cell model by the web browser, but with no sucess.

    The second screen is the message from the connect edtion.


    Is there a solution for that problem? Maybe you can help us.

    The defect 340813 seems to be included in the list of resolved issues. Let me have a look at it and I will come back to you. Maybe the issue is solved just for IE even though I am not sure.

    thank you for your answer. Yes, the same problem is there in update 2. In the moment we can open the internet explorer with our library, but it´s the same issue, that we only can open and save the cells. In V8i works it fine. Is there a way to create the Connect Edition like the V8i in that case?

    now there is some time passed and i want to ask you, if you have solved the problem with the internet explorer? For us it is so important, that the import works.

    Can you tell us, when the connect edition will be released with the solved problem or have we just to change some security settings on the web-browser? Hope you can help us soon!

    now we have tested the web browse problem (defect 340813). But the problem is still there. Here is a video, where you can see, that it doesn´t work.

    This video shows the same way, like your video, which you send us from 2016-10-14 at 14h. But in our case the OS is Windows Server 2012. We also test it with Windows 10, but there is the same problem. It doesn´t work, it crashes.

    We do something wrong? I don´t understand, why in your video it is work.

    If you want, we can make a date for a teamviewer meeting, than you can try it byself or we can phone.
