I am currently working on a project and i need to roll an unfolded elevation to the original curved surface. I am trying to find a command that does the opposite of "unroll developable surface". Is there a way to wrap (proportionally) a 2d shape on a 3d surface or curve? Trim surfaces by curves - project Curve is not valid for my case since it is only projecting not curving..
Your assistance highly appreciated!
Thank you,
Maria
Take a look at the visualisation tools > Stencil
It projects or drapes a 2d object onto a 3d surface....
I know its weird to look there and you'd never think of it but once you found it or been shown then you'll never forget because its so wierd for it not to be called drape...
The help actually is very good on this tool...
FYI If you'd posted a dgn example we could have tested them first to see if your objects were compatible for the tool .... but it should work if your elements are really 2d object and a 3d surface
