Is it possible to export the centroids of multiple shapes, and if so, how do I do it?

Heya,

I have a design-file with hundreds of small shapes, I need to asssign a unique number to each of them. I thought about doing this by exporting the centroids of these shapes. There are hundreds, perhaps even thousands of these, so I'd like to avoid manual labor.
