width of a textbox (textnode) cannot be edited

Hi,

in some of our (old) files there had been placed text/textnodes by using the method „line break“.
If I have to edit these texts it is not possible to enlarge the textbox and to enter further text within a line.
The ruler in the text editor is fixed.

Is it possible to “unlock” the ruler to enter some more words in a line or to define a different width of the text box (textnode)?

Thanks,
Petra

this acts today as if the  author  has used  word wrap and often acad copied text does this too..

if you select the text  so you can see handles ( FYI handles must be enabled  in power

selector some people  turn them off) select  and then drag the top corner  handle, I like the top right one  , hold down  and drag data  button of the mouse and the dashed   word wrap boundary extends  and  your text  moves accordingly ... (BTW  be careful if you pick the wrong  handles you will stretch the size of the text  ie make  text  bigger and not what you wanted) ....

then you can type in the extra text, or  just type in the extra text first and then  use the drag  handle like I suggested until it is long enough or refits the  text  to show the text the  way you  want ie two lines etc

here is silent video of how I do this .. much easier when you see it done...  copy paste the  link below  into any browser  and observe the steps .. you can pause and resume and try your own until you get it working  in your file  .. enjoy...
