SO I'm working on migrating my V8i corporate workspace to the new Connect workspace/configuration. I was easily able to migrate the resources (DGNLIB, Cells, RSC's, etc..) all of that seems to be read in my CFG files, no issues there. However, I have exported my custom tools, tasks, menus and icons from my V8i workspace DGNLIB and attempted to import them into my connect configuration DGNLIB. The message states that the import was successful, but I don't see any of the customizations.
The DGNLIB file and location is defined in the DGNLIBLIST and GUIDGNLIBLIST variables.
Has anyone else had this issue? If so, were you able to fix it.
TIA
Chuck
Hello cmeuser,
I personally think MSCE's GUI is based on Ribbon and totally different with V8i's GUI. You can reference your V8i base tools into CE's Ribbon system as below shown.
You can see the V8iTasks.dgnlib is a V8i's dgnlib, you can find its definitions from "Toolboxes(Custom)" in "Customize Ribbon" dialog in MSCE.
Another things need to clarifiy: In MSCE, when you open a dgn file and select "Customize Ribbon", all the customization contents will be defined into Personal.dgnlib. But if you open a dgnlib, all the contents will be defined into that dgnlib. It is better than V8i.
