Dear Microstation-Users I have a problem with the position of a raster. In DGN-Mode the raster with its frame is on the position that also is shown in the element information as origin. When I save the drawing as DWG or DXF the position of the frame differs in one direction with the amount of have a pixel, while the origin shown in elelment information is as in DGN-File. The txt-file shows the details/coordinates of the orthophoto, when it was calculated. The left-corner bottom of the raster should be X=0, Y= 437.2900. The size of the raster is 115.38mx28.45m, Pixels size 1 cm. What to do to get the image on the wanted position when saving as DWG/DXF?
so its not geo referenced... what format is this raster ? does it use a jgw or sister file?
try to convert it to a different raster format via the raster manager then export to dwg and see if better result with a different raster type.....
Can you upload the dgn and its raster, but firstdraw abox around the raster in dgn, snap to the edges of the raster so we can see if it moves, when we can try and export to dwg and see what happens at our ends....

go back to the tiff and try jpeg and save as v8i and tell it to use a sister file, then I think in acad it will use the syster file to ref attach position , pixel size etc, the sister file should be a jgw format and should be possible to create in in mstn .. I havent built one in years ... but I remember there is an option in the export in the raster manager ....
BTW I've never seen this happen before....I use aerial photo jpgs all the time and they have jgw sister files and autocad knows what to do with them so the exports work for me, but we have the jgws already....
alternative google jgw and how to make it from the settings of the property of the raster, they are just text files.. gotta go .. cant help any more to night..
upload copy of this raster and its dgn .. might take a look over the weekend....
Were you using the same units of resolution in your source DGN file as well as your DGN seed file you used for DWG Open? Check DWG Open Options which should tell you the DGN seed file you use. Set the UOR's to be the same as your source DGN file.
