Does anyone know how I can disable the grid from turning on every time I look an acs that I have created. Also how do I stop the acs plane snap from turning on when I lock an acs.
use "save settings" when you leave your Microstation session.

I am looking at this same problem right now using Connect Edition Update 16.
The problem isn't saving the settings on the way out, the problem is that if you turn your created ACS on then the grid and plane snap turn on with it. You can indeed turn these off but then if you turn your created ACS off and then need it back on again, these grid and plane snap settings turn back on.
It would be great if there was a way to decide whether they come on or not per your preference. It is a time waster and quite annoying.
If anyone knows a solution to this that would be much appreciated.
Easy problem to solve, assign the keyin "LOCK ACSCONTEXT ON" (or LOCK ACSCONTEXT TOGGLE if you prefer) to a function key or custom tool; it enables the ACS Plane without enabling Grid or ACS Plane Snap.

How are you turning your ACS "on/off"? By default, the grid can be assigned to use the current ACS orientation, but whether the grid or acs are displayed in the view are independent view attributes. ACS Context lock and ACS Plane snap are also independent of the ACS View Attribute.
There is a key-in "accudraw lock gridplane" (assigned to F8) that will toggle the grid display, ACS context lock, and ACS Plane snap together, it sounds like you are using that and should not be?

I have always used the toggle button next to my dropdown menu for the custom ACS's which is the same as the F8 command you mention, so yes, using the incorrect one for what I am wanting.
I created function key shortcut for F2 using the LOCK ACSCONTEXT key-in as suggested in a previous response and that works just fine. Plane Lock comes on and Snap and Grid stay off.
