I thought this was limited to one machine, but a second user has come to me complaining of this problem.
Occasionally (daily, every couple of days, or more frequently), the screen goes black, a message appears that the AMD driver experienced a failure and restarted, and the Microstation V8i session crashes without an option to continue or to save work.
We've updated all drivers, Windows Update is current (probably the source of my problem ha ha), still have the issue.

This is a long time crash but with Nvidia graphics. Which model is the graphic card? It's one of the models from the requirements? communities.bentley.com/.../4175.microstation-v8i-system-requirements-and-hardware-recommendations-tn

This kind of error in Nvidia is a problem in manufacturer driver. It as workaround by disabling dx11. Don't know if with ATI it's same but you can always try: communities.bentley.com/.../4172.microstation-known-issues-faq
Just a long shot, but the crash also occur with the original version of the graphic driver? Try and use the original ones. If the same occur jump from there one at a time until the more recent one. Regards
